2021 Volunteering WA Awards
TLG would like to thank Lotterywest and Volunteering WA for a wonderful night at the 2021 Western Australian Volunteer of the Year Awards.
On the 20th of May, Teach Learn Grow’s CEO Bridget Staude and other TLG employees were fortunate enough to attend Volunteering WA’s 2021 awards ceremony at Crown Perth, surrounded by some of Western Australia’s most devoted and generous volunteers and organisations.
We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen to receive the Community Volunteer Organisation of the Year award. TLG was one of eight volunteers and organisations to be honoured at the award ceremony, selected out from a total of 270 nominations and 31 finalists. This was a momentous occasion for TLG as we celebrate our 10th anniversary of Bridging the Gap in 2021.
TLG was awarded by our long-time sponsor and ally, Lotterywest. Lotterywest has continuously helped give TLG to provide an opportunity for volunteers to experience TLG Programs and make an impact in the lives of thousands of rural and remote Australian students facing education disadvantage.
TLG’s Education Officer Anthea Cheong was also nominated for the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award for her incredible dedication to TLG over the last five years. Anthea has been a member of TLG Executive since 2016, and an integral figure to many of TLG’s projects and events, all while balancing a full-time job. Congratulations Anthea for being one of the three finalists chosen for this year’s award!
Thank you to all of TLG’s sponsors and volunteers who have made this win possible - we share our achievement with all of you. TLG strives to continue our legacy and to serve our community.
