Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Teach Learn Grow, we are committed to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations outlined in the Commonwealth Government’s Child Safety Framework and aim to have a child-safe culture modelled at all levels of our organisation through leadership, advocacy, training and development.
We recognise that all children and young people have the right to develop and reach their goals in an environment that is caring, nurturing and safe, and we believe the safety and protection of children and young people is paramount to achieving our vision and mission.
We believe all children regardless of their gender, race, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation, family or social background, have equal rights to protection from abuse.
We recognise that child-safe organisations and child-safe communities require extended guardianship to all children and young people and ongoing actions to protect children from harm. We acknowledge that safety extends further than our programs and we strive to help develop communities that are safe for all children and young people.
Through the TLG Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy, and our Child Safe Code of Conduct, we document how this shared commitment is embedded in the practices of TLG Personnel at all levels.
